Czech-Filipino singer Kai Langer made quite the impression on Ellen DeGeneres when he stopped by her talk show for the first time in 2013. Ellen was enamored by his ability to sing Bruno Mars’s hit song “Grenade.” He became a fan-favorite on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and was brought back multiple times to make us all smile. Where is he now?

Kai Langer Became A Fan-Favorite On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

Ellen and Kai had a hilarious conversation about how long he has been singing for. The 4-year-old said that he had been singing for a year at the time of his appearance on the show. Ellen first discovered him through a video of him singing “Grenade.” She asked Kai to put on a live performance of the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

His concentration and level of passion were very apparent, even at such a young age. Kai sang with his eyes closed as Ellen watched the young talent in awe. The audience gave Kai a standing ovation and it was clear that they were in the presence of someone destined for great things. Ellen said that Bruno actually saw the video of Kai singing and wanted to send him and his whole family to one of his concerts.

Kai returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and gifted her with a bracelet to always remember him. He declared that Ellen was his girlfriend. He spoke about how he actually got to meet Bruno on an airplane. This time Kai sang Bruno’s song “When I Was Your Man.” Kai became one of Ellen’s favorite guests over the years that has frequently come back to sing on the show. In one segment, Kai got to sit down with Bruno and do a duet of “Uptown Funk.”

When he was 8 years old, Kai performed “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It just so happened that Ed was a guest that day and came out to surprise Kai during the performance. Ellen also ended up sending Kai and his family on a trip to England to watch his favorite soccer team play.

Where Is Kai Now?

Kai and his family went to England thanks to Ellen and looking at his Instagram pictures, it seems like they had an awesome time.

He spoke about his passion for soccer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and is currently involved in the sport. Kai often posts videos showing off his incredible soccer skills.

And that’s not all that this 12-year-old can do. He has also been modeling for catalogs and posting photos from photoshoots he has done.
