Former America’s Got Talent contestant Daniel Emmet has released his self-titled debut album. The opera singer described the project as “the truest expression of my heart and soul.” Emmet reached the Finals during Season 13 of the talent show and later returned to perform with Metaphysic in Season 17.
AGT Star Daniel Emmet Releases Debut Album
Emmet’s new album features 11 tracks, including originals and covers of songs such as “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers and “You’re the Inspiration” by Chicago, the latter of which Emmet released as a single with David Foster.
The album showcases the soaring, operatic voice that earned Emmet a place in the AGT Finals. Several tracks also feature the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, including the original single “True Reflection.”
On Friday, Emmet shared the exciting news that his album had reached No. 1 on the U.S. Singer/Songwriter album chart on iTunes. He also made it to No. 116 on the All Genres U.S. albums chart. The singer wrote, “To see my record in the company of these artists I so admire is one heck of a way to start the weekend.”
You can listen to Emmet’s new album on all digital and streaming platforms. CDs and limited edition vinyl copies are also available to order online.

Emmet Had an Inspiring Journey on the Show
For his audition in Season 13 of AGT, Emmet performed his original song “Amante,” which appears on his new album. Judge Simon Cowell stopped him and asked if he had another song to perform. When Emmet said he didn’t, Cowell told him to sing Il Divo’s “Passerà” (which is also on the album).
All four judges ended up voting “yes” to sending Emmet through to the next round. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the Judge Cuts after singing Lucio Dalla’s “Caruso.” However, Emmet was later chosen as one of two Wild Card acts to compete in the Quarterfinals.
The singer then made it through the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, singing a Spanish version of “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith and “Somewhere” from West Side Story. Emmet earned both the Dunkin’ Save and the Judges’ Choice to make it into the Finals, where he sang “Perfect Symphony” by Andrea Bocelli.
In Season 17, Emmet returned to the AGT stage with the multimedia act Metaphysic, providing the voice for a deepfake version of Cowell in their audition. He also joined the group for the Semifinals and the Finals.
