Dancing with the Stars is reportedly moving to a new studio for Season 32, as the Los Angeles studio complex Television City undergoes renovations. The new season of the celebrity dance competition is expected to premiere later this year.

Dancing with the Stars to Move to a New Studio

Deadline reports that Hackman Capital Partners, which bought Television City in 2019, is planning a renovation for the complex costing $1.25 billion. Several shows are moving studios to make room for the renovations, including CBS game show The Price Is Right.

The outlet reports that DWTS is among several shows which are “solidifying moving arrangements,” in addition to ABC’s American Idol. As part of Hackman’s plans for Television City, the number of studios will be increased from eight to at least 15.

The Price Is Right will reportedly relocate to nearby Haven Studios in Glendale, California. As part of the renovation, the four original CBS studios from 1952 will reportedly be preserved, as well as other elements of the design by architect William Pereira.

The Show Will Return for Season 32

Last year, Dancing with the Stars made the move from its original network ABC to the streaming platform Disney+, as it was renewed for both Season 31 and Season 32. Last year, Season 31 saw TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her partner Mark Ballas taking home the Mirrorball trophy.

Season 32 is expected to premiere this fall. We’ll likely have to wait several more months to find out which celebrities will be competing in the new season. Last year, both pro dancer Cheryl Burke and longtime judge Len Goodman announced that they were leaving the show.

Season 31 also introduced a new co-host, as past DWTS winner Alfonso Ribeiro joined Tyra Banks to emcee the show. The hosts for Season 32 have yet to be officially confirmed.
