The time has once again come for fans to get their tickets to the America’s Got Talent live shows. This season’s live shows are a bit different, so here’s everything you need to know before you attend.
America’s Got Talent is NOT Returning to the Dolby Theatre in 2022
The first AGT live show takes place on Tuesday, August 9, with the first results show on the next day. In the past, this show has switched up its location between the auditions and the live shows. Typically, AGT went from the audition location in Pasadena, California, to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. This season, the show will return to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
Tickets are currently available for August 9, 10, 16, and 17. Fans are able to submit their information now to see Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and host Terry Crews. Live show contestants have yet to be determined at this time. Instead, fans can look forward to seeing this season’s six Golden Buzzers. As always, tickets to the America’s Got Talent live shows are first come first serve and completely free.
To be eligible to attend live shows, audience members must have full vacatination status against COVID-19. The website specifies that fully vaccinated means you’ve had two shots of Moderna/Pfizer, or one shot of Johnson and Johnson.
How Will We Know Which Contestants Are in the Live Shows?
America’s Got Talent is wrapping up their auditions on August 2. Fans will see a Judge Deliberation format similar to last season during the last auditions episode. Even though there’s been speculation of the return of the Judge Cuts round, everything (including Vergara’s Instagram story) turned out to be false. The description for the final audition episode is titled “Auditions End and Judge Deliberations.”
The Judge Deliberation round was disliked by fans last season since no act is able to perform again. This formatting practically eliminates any contestant that earned three yeses and one no. It’s a surprise that the network would return to this format, since it was originally implemented due to the Olympics in 2021. If this season’s Judge Deliberations match last years, fans should make sure they have access to the America’s Got Talent app. Once Judge Deliberations conclude, a list of returning contestants should be visible in the acts section.
