America’s Got Talent is officially back! Now that AGT is back for its 19th season on NBC, there’s been a huge twist to the show itself. Instead of 4 or 5 Golden Buzzers, this season will feature 9. Drone entertainment group Sky Element is one of the acts that received the Golden Buzzer this season.

Meet Golden Buzzer Drone Group Sky Element

One of this season’s Golden Buzzer acts is a unique group, Sky Element. Excitement toward the use of drone entertainment has risen in the past few years. Many hope that drone shows will soon replace fireworks shows, for a less intrusive celebration. Using a drone show helps reduce air pollution, results in less loud noises that affect humans and animals, and reduces the risk of show-related injuries.

According to Sky Elements’ website, their “mission is to deliver captivating drone light shows that immerse audiences and skyrocket brand awareness. Every step of the way, we put accuracy, execution, and compliance first.”

Their company vows to follow core values of integrity, attention to detail, safety, value, and creativity. On their website, they specify that they keep artistic design, layers of safety, and eco friendliness in mind while creating and performing shows.

Sky Elements is comprised of four main members, Rick Boss, Tyler Johnson, Preston Ward, and Brian Geck. It seems like Rick, Tyler, Preston, and Brian are the brains behind the show, but the shows themselves feature other group members.

Sky Elements currently holds multiple Guinness World Records including Largest aerial sentence formed by multirotors/drones (earned July 2023), most emojis formed by multirotor/drones in three minutes (earned December 2023), largest aerial image of a flag formed by multirotors/drones (earned November 2023), and largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones (earned December 2023).

This Isn’t The First Time a Drone Group Has Gotten a Golden Buzzer

Although another Drone group hasn’t earned the Golden Buzzer on the normal show, in 2022, drone group Verge Aero, earned Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer on spin off AGT: Extreme. Within their audition, the group formed various images, includes a wave, the USA flag, and the AGT logo. This all done to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars.”

This spin off had a bit of a weird format, given it only had episodes for the Auditions and Finale. Since Verge Aero didn’t make it into the Top 4, they did not perform in the finale episode. Although their time on the AGT spin off was cut short, fans quickly took to the unique act on the stage. Since fans (and Simon Cowell) loved Verge Aero, there’s reason to believe fans will love Sky Element in 2024.
