From Blind Auditions to the Knockouts, Kim Cruse has proven that her vocals deserve a spot in the Live Shows. This singer from Team Legend is indeed a powerhouse even as a solo. Let’s get to know her more.

Kim Cruse Had a Four-Chair Turn Audition

Kim Cruse has already shown her star potential during her four-chair turn The Voice Blind Audition. She sustained this energy in the Battle Rounds when she stood out with GIVĒON’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” against David Andrew.

Kim lived up to expectations during the Knockout Rounds, with her soulful rendition of of “I Can’t Stand Rain” by Ann Peebles. For those who may have missed it, this was a three-way face-off against The Marilynds and Emma Brooke. Since Kim shined against her competitors, her place in the Live Playoffs was cemented.

“Kim, you were a dragon up there,” Camila Cabello said. “You’ve always been one of the most gifted and masterful vocalists of the show, but today I was starstruck.”

With Kim’s performance in the Knockouts, Legend was convinced that it was Kim that must stay. Consequently, the 30-year-old singer is now battling it out in the Live Shows.

She Started Singing at Three Years Old

Growing up in church where her father served as a pastor and worship leader, music was practically tied to Kim’s life. She began belting songs when she was three and aggressively chased her dreams as she goes through adulthood.

Apparently, The Voice is not her first media appearance. For those who may not know, she once joined an online singing competition called Race To The Blue. There, Kim bagged the highest title. Additionally, she was featured in one of Terrell Grice’s YouTube videos where she dived in to the song association challenge.

In February 2021, she released her debut EP, Kim Cruse. Her most popular track on Spotify, “Heartbreak Song (Live)” now has more than 20,000 listens. She also has a YouTube channel where she uploads raw song covers and sit-down videos.

Today, she attempts to make it to the mainstream music industry through The Voice. Will Kim make it all the way into the finale? Only time will tell. Be sure to tune into The Voice on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays to keep up to date with Kim’s journey.
